About the EA:
This thread is dedicated to the on-going development of the SynergyMethod AutoTrader that I wrote. Please remember that I didn’t develop the SynergyMethod strategy. Please use this thread as a place to post positive suggestions, bugs, and general discussion of the EA and it’s results.
Before proceeding, please not that I’m not affiliated with ForexFactory.com, CompassFX, or Dean Malone.
The original thread (that I found) for the SynergyMethod strategy can be found here. I later found out the Basic Synergy Method was developed by Dean Malone and that there are free webinar videos on the internet which can be found here.
You can find a wealth of information and ideas at the thread listed above including many tips for manual trading and enhancement ideas for the strategy. Everything you need to know about trading this system is freely given away on that thread and even includes at least one EA that is also freely given away on that thread. That does not mean that mine is better than his because he gives it away. That also doesn’t mean that his is better than mine because it’s free either. Also, the webinar videos are very good and teach you everything you need to know about manually trading this strategy.
Now why did I just tell you all of that? I want you to be aware of the fact that there is free information out there to trade this strategy and even at least one free EA.
Now you’re saying… “So why should I pay for your EA if I can get one for free?”.

I’ve made it known that my version of this EA is available but it carries a cost for my development time and the support that comes along with it. In the end I hope people will feel it’s worth it. If they don’t then there isn’t anything forcing them to stay here either.

Dozens of people can freely share directions on how to get from point A to point B. You then have several choices…
- You can walk (manual trading)
- You can hitch a ride with someone going your way (free EA)
- Or I can give you a lift but I charge for gas (my EA)
Which choice is best? That’s a matter of preference and what makes you comfortable.
Still here? Here is a summary of the functions.
- MaxDiffFromOpen ensures a good entry
- Trade exactly the way Synergy was developed or tweak it to fit your preference
- Choices on how to exit
- Trailing stop based on previous bar’s PAC level
- Allows up to 5 orders to be configured with the following parameters
- Lot size
- Take profit
- Stop loss
- Break even (when x profit achieved then move stop loss to break even)
- Trailing stop triggered (x pips positive triggers the trailing stop)
- Trailing stop amount (trail current order by x pips)
- Can adjust indicator settings
- Sends e-mail when new orders are placed
- Sends e-mail of current status and history
- Chart display of profit/loss history
Special notes:
- Can be run in any time frame
- It is extremely important that MT4 run all week with the charts open and EA attached. No EA can do its thing unless everything is running. That’s why you have an EA to trade for you.
