If you haven’t already heard about the EA Data Analyzer then you’re missing out on something great. The client application was just released today and is the first step to getting trade data onto the MTaboneWebForex server.

Why is this important?

It means no one has to post their results manually anymore and those who are too shy to have done it in the past can now have it done automatically for them. With all the setups and demos that users are running this will give us all a much clearer picture on what’s working and what’s not. This client application runs as a Windows service on your computer and uploads trade data including EA configuration at the time a trade is placed, lots, take profit, stop loss, and a mountain of other useful information. This data is loaded into a SQL database and a complete web-interface is soon to be released which will allow anyone to view the trade data complete with filtering to narrow down exactly what you want to see.

Well, after a very frustrating week I’ve finally worked through the Client side application (the part that runs on your computer). I ran into some road blocks that forced me to do things differently so I wanted to explain the new process. The application is still a service that will run on your computer. This service kicks off every 60 minutes and uploads the text log files to my server. After that everything else happens on my side (splitting the data, adding it to the SQL database, etc.). There is no longer going to be a local database for a number of reasons. The data will get large quickly increasing the space required, issues with updating, sync issues between a local database and database on the internet.

My next step is to add all the logging code to the existing EAs. Once that is completed then I will release them and the client side application which will start uploading data to my server for anyone who chooses to participate. The EA settings will remain the same as previously described in this thread but I will be adding another parameter (user). This will be helpful in sorting reports so you can view your own results and/or others as well.
