A recent email I received below with my response. I felt it covered important question and answers and wanted to share.

Thanks Matt for the info, but I see you have no warranty on your EAs, its a matter of no refunds. My policy is no refunds if the thing stinks no purchase.
I am not saying that your EAs stink, but many do, like the Don Steinitz crap floating around, or FapTurbo, or BlackPanther, or PipZu, or Megadroid, or Fusion, sRS, or StealPips. Those are just a few I have bought and got refunded because they were crap.

How do yourEAs stack up against those losers. My feeling is that yours are much better, but its just a feeling
. Do you have any results demo or live? If I purchase one EA can I use that purchase to be part of a later lifetime membership? Do all your EAs have Martingale coding?

Regards,
member

My answer…

Hi,

I can absolutely sympathize with you feelings here as I have purchased many EAs in the past before I started programming them for myself.

Refunds are something that I just don’t do because EAs can be so easily decompiled. This has been one of my biggest hurdles with trying to establish a trust with my users and yet protect myself from people who would buy, decompile, then ask for a refund. I am not saying you would do that but I do have solid proof of it happening with more than one of my existing members. If you are not comfortable or sure then I would strongly advise against purchasing any of my EAs.

As for all the “crap” EAs that are sold through mainly big advertisements like infomercials… Not a single one of them is as responsive, supportive, or open as I am and my forum is more than enough proof of that to anyone who spends a reasonable amount of time reading the threads. I have live and demo past results as do many of my other members who post frequently like MyFutureSelf, Andante9, BenScoobert, etc.

Ben is actually running the CrazyPyramid on a live account with AlpariUK with good results and we have both posted those results as of lately since we were doing some very intense demo tests together over the last couple of months. I could go on and on but it’s all in the forum already. If you are serious about trying any of the EAs then you should spend time reading the threads first (before you buy anything). Questions are openly answered as they come in but I prefer to do it all on the forum rather than personal emails. In this way, I am not hiding anything, all members benefit from the answers, and everything is straight forward which is not easy to establish in this business where so many are scammed with padded results. I don’t base anything on back testing. Everything is forward on.

The CrazyPyramid is the only martingale type EA as I usually do not like them because they’re well known for blowing up accounts. Ben has done a very nice job with this EA as far as defining how he wants it to work and I believe in this case he has overcome many of the problems with martingale EAs. On top of that there have been many, many user requests that have been accommodated in all of my EAs.

Yes, if you purchase one or more then the difference is all it costs to upgrade to a full lifetime membership. That means all EAs, any new EAs, and all updates. Each individual comes with all free updates as well.

Take your time, read the forums, then decide. I do not pull any punches on the forum.

Sorry for the delay but I felt you deserved a thorough answer to your concerns and wanted to provide that to you.

Thanks again,
Matt

Hello to all,

It’s been a while since my last update so I’ll try to cover it all now.

In August ‘08 I started this forum as a place to concentrate my efforts towards writing and maintaining my own EAs. I started with 6 EAs and now have 14 fully developed EAs with one more in the making (PingPong). I’ve made countless updates to those EAs including bug fixes and new features. I’ve made well over 100 videos that detail my EAs and how to use them although many of them are now outdated due to new features being added to the EAs. I had high hopes for the EA Data Analyzer; a central location that could collect all our trading information so that we could then dissect the results to see what works best. Many, many hours devoted to this site.

I’ve struggled for a number of years trying to find time for everything (family, work, a side business as a computer consultant/developer, Forex, etc). In mid December I caught a cold that quickly turned into Bronchitis and lasted over 5 weeks. It ultimately forced me to slow down and take a breather and since then I’ve had to make some very hard decisions.

I am not quitting this site although I do need to pull back a bit. I still plan to…

  • Fix bugs in my EAs if they’re reported
  • Add new features when a good idea is suggested
  • Support the individuals who have supported me
  • Write new EAs from time to time
  • Post my results, ideas, etc.

I will do all of the things listed above but I will not be able to tie myself to this forum for several hours each day like I was.

This site is important to me and I appreciate all the support from my members and hope they will continue to be a part of this community.

Matt

P.S. I have been working on some coding items and hope to be posting updated EAs soon.

This EA has been going through major development over the last couple of weeks. Demos have been turning good results and enhancements are being on a regular basis. The latest version (1.5.0) released today now includes 8 different entry options. The options can be chosen individually or multiples can selected. Also, each entry has it’s own settings providing even greater control over how and when the EA opens new orders.

The entry options now included are AshFX, AshFX II, Coin Toss, Heiken Ashi, Moving Average, MyFutureBAT, PipNailer, and SynergyMethod.

I would also like to mention that the EA Data Analyzer site continues to make progress and the database now contains over 17,000 trades from all the demos and live accounts that are running my EAs. Also, I’ve dusted off the DailyHighLow Indicator and was inspired to start a DailyHighLow demo which will be coming soon based on the original Daily95 setup and other demos like MyFutureBAT and RollerCoaster have been running for some time now as well.

I wanted to let everyone know whats been happening and what is going to be happening.

First things first… I’ve been working hard on the EADA behind the scenes but it’s still at least a month away from completion. My apologies to those who’ve been waiting but this has proven to be a large task for a single developer (me) to complete but it will be completed.

Second… I’ve completed working with Ben to get the CrazyPyramid AutoTrader coded. He and I are testing for the next 2 days or so. If everything looks ok with it then I plan to post it under the “Expert Advisor (Downloads)” section. Anyone with a Lifetime membership will have the chance to download this EA and test it themselves.

For those who are not familiar with the strategy, you should take a look at the links below.

It’s an exciting twist and has proven through Ben’s demo testing to be profitable.

Also, Ben and I have both began using MyFXBook.com to keep track of our demo testing. You can view the latest results in our signatures.

My personal testing has included AshFX, MyFutureBAT, and the WeeklyOpen for now and will expand over time. Updated posts have also been made to their appropriate threads on each of these demos.

and a final FYI on Lifetime membership…

On Saturday (October 31st) I am raising the price for Lifetime members to $500. Existing Lifetime members are covered and anyone who had access to an individual EA will still have access to everything they had before. As a result of the increase I will be offering subscriptions again for $50/month. Any member who keeps a subscription for a full 12 months ($600) will be automatically upgraded to Lifetime membership status. Of course subscriptions may be canceled at any time and it’s a good way for new users to try the EAs. EAs available to subscription members will time out at the end of each month but will be able to work for live or demo accounts.

For any Lifetime members… You should download the EA Data Analyzer client in the downloads section if you’re running any demo accounts. Even though the website’s front-end is not complete the database is still growing with trades from anyone testing with this software installed. In fact, we currently have 11,453 completed trades in the database right now. Every demo, EA, and settings variation helps make the data more useful and will eventually allow everyone to view those results through the website.

If you would like to take advantage of the current price please click here. At the moment there are 14 different EAs for Lifetime Members.

Just thought I should say something for those who are wondering…

I am making progress with the Data Analyzer site although it has proven itself to me that the task is greater than I originally imagined. I will complete the site but it’s taking longer than I anticipated.

In the mean time, The database is growing with over 10,000 completed trades on a number of different Forex EAs (AshFX, AshFX II, RollerCoaster, PipNailer, MyFutureBAT, SynergyMethod, etc.). Some very solid results have been made showing profits with AshFX and MyFutureBAT. I’m sure there are others but this is just a result of me taking a close look at those 2 directly.

Please be patient, the EA Data Analyzer site will be completed and new EAs will be developed.

I would also like to mention that the current cost for Lifetime membership to my site is $100. This gives the user the ability to download and use any EA I currently have developed and any EAs I will develop in the future. This one-time payment will be going up shortly after the release of the EA Data Analyzer site. If you would like to take advantage of the current price please click here. At the moment there are 13 different EAs for Lifetime Members.

A majority of my day has gone into installing MetaTrader, configuring it, installing the EA Data Analyzer client, and setting up some initial demos. I’ve installed MetaTrader 50 times on my VPS (10 of each for Alpari UK, Forex.com, FXCM, FXDD, and IBFX). All 50 have been updated to the latest versions as well. Days like today remind me of what a pain in the butt all this is but I’m glad it’s behind me now.

Demos…

My initial demos are all running on Alpari UK. There are 6 demos (AshFX H4, AshFX D1, AshFX II H4, AshFX II D1, MyFutureBAT H4, and MyFutureBAT D1) all with default values for the most part. The only changes I’ve really made in the settings are turning on Money Management for 3%. For the MyFutureBAT demos I’ve configured a large take profit and have decided on all demos to let the EAs manage the exits with no trailing stops other than PSAR with AshFX systems and the BAT line with MyFutureBAT. Several trades have already been placed and all information is being uploaded to my server with the EA Data Analyzer client. I will be expanding my testing to include other EAs and brokers over time but feel I’ve accomplished enough for right now.

I look forward to completing the Analysis website and finding out what works and what doesn’t. I also thank all those who have chosen to contribute by downloading my client and are now uploading active trade data along with my own. Over time I have big plans and am excited to see how it all unfolds.

If you haven’t already heard about the EA Data Analyzer then you’re missing out on something great. The client application was just released today and is the first step to getting trade data onto the MTaboneWebForex server.

Why is this important?

It means no one has to post their results manually anymore and those who are too shy to have done it in the past can now have it done automatically for them. With all the setups and demos that users are running this will give us all a much clearer picture on what’s working and what’s not. This client application runs as a Windows service on your computer and uploads trade data including EA configuration at the time a trade is placed, lots, take profit, stop loss, and a mountain of other useful information. This data is loaded into a SQL database and a complete web-interface is soon to be released which will allow anyone to view the trade data complete with filtering to narrow down exactly what you want to see.

The code for logging has been added to the AshFX, AshFX II, BreakoutSentinel, DailyHighLow, DailyHighLowReverse, PipNailer, RollerCoaster, SynergyMethod, TossUp, and WeeklyOpen EAs.

Well, after a very frustrating week I’ve finally worked through the Client side application (the part that runs on your computer). I ran into some road blocks that forced me to do things differently so I wanted to explain the new process. The application is still a service that will run on your computer. This service kicks off every 60 minutes and uploads the text log files to my server. After that everything else happens on my side (splitting the data, adding it to the SQL database, etc.). There is no longer going to be a local database for a number of reasons. The data will get large quickly increasing the space required, issues with updating, sync issues between a local database and database on the internet.

My next step is to add all the logging code to the existing EAs. Once that is completed then I will release them and the client side application which will start uploading data to my server for anyone who chooses to participate. The EA settings will remain the same as previously described in this thread but I will be adding another parameter (user). This will be helpful in sorting reports so you can view your own results and/or others as well.
